Job Summary
The Supervisor, Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is responsible for the day-to-day coordination and oversight of EMS operations, including clinical performance, quality improvement, regulatory compliance, and community engagement. This role serves as a key liaison between EMS personnel, hospital leadership, and external partners, ensuring that prehospital services are delivered efficiently, safely, and in alignment with facility standards and applicable regulations.
Essential Functions
Qualifications
Associate Degree in Nursing, Emergency Medical Services, Healthcare Administration, Public Safety, or a related field required 3-5 years of experience in Emergency Medical Services required 1-2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in EMS or a related field preferredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities
In-depth knowledge of EMS operations, regulations, and clinical protocols. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to interpret and apply state, local, and federal EMS regulations. Skilled in performance improvement, training, and staff development. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and EMS software systems. Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams and external partners. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities in high-pressure situations.Licenses and Certifications
RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure required or EMT - Emergency Medical Tech Certification required BCLS - Basic Life Support required ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support required PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support required
