We are looking for a Chemistry Supervisor to join our IMR Test Labs, Lansing, NY team!
As our Chemistry Supervisor, you will act as a working supervisor, working alongside your team while providing guidance to your reports.
Location: Lansing, NY
Salary: $84,000 - $87,000

Your Challenge
Supervise and coordinate the activities of the chemistry department, including wet chemistry, instrumental analysis (ICP, OES, C/S, ONH), and sample preparation.Ensure testing is performed in accordance with ASTM, Nadcap, ISO, and customer-specific standards.Review and approve test data, reports, and documentation for accuracy and completeness.Train, mentor, and evaluate laboratory technicians and chemists.Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instruments and equipment.Monitor workflow and prioritize tasks to meet client deadlines.Communicate with other departments (e.g., Metallurgy, Mechanical Testing) to support integrated testing projects.Ensure compliance with safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality management systems (e.g., ISO/IEC 17025).Participate in audits, method development, and validation activities.Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices.What You Bring
Bachelors or masters’ in biology or chemistry 2-3 years of supervisory experience Ability to cultivate a good working culture in the chemistry teamPreferred:
