Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

As the AP/AR Supervisor, you’ll support the Financial Business Services team by leading both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable team members to ensure accurate processing of invoices and timely cash application. You’ll interact with internal teams, external partners, and use your keen attention to detail to support financial operations.

Location: Hybrid in Deerfield, IL (will require on-site Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays)

RESPONSIBILITIES

Shared Accounts Payable / Receivable

Supervise AP/AR coordinators including but not limited to:Lead and oversee the daily operations of the AP/AR coordinatorsFoster a collaborative team environment while driving process improvements, efficiency and accountability across both the BPO and FBIN teamsManage actual results against established expectations and goals and take corrective actions when results do not align with expectationsTime and attendance approval  Champion continuous improvement and implement process changes to make the department more lean and efficientAct as a primary liaison and an escalation point between the outsourced BPO and internal / external stakeholdersResponsible for administration of and adherence to FBIN escheatment polices and proceduresAssist or backup the AP/AR coordinators when needed

Accounts Payable

Approve daily payment disbursements in various banking platformsInvestigate payment failures and monitor bank account activitiesPerform vendor maintenance setup reviews to ensure compliance with policySupport the administration of purchase and travel and expense (T&E) cardsResponsible for annual 1099 filings

Accounts Receivable

Assist the AR Director in implementing and ensuring adherence to credit strategies, policies, and proceduresPerform customer maintenance setup reviews to ensure compliance with policy

Qualifications

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma requiredDetailed understanding of order-to-cash and procure-to-pay processesMinimum of 6 years of experience working in Accounts Payable and/or Accounts ReceivableProficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel and OutlookPrior SAP or Oracle experienceStrong communication skills (both oral and written).Must work well in a team atmosphere.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

College Degree in an applicable business or communications field

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $56,000 USD - $84,700 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
