What Contract and Billing contributes to Cardinal Health
Contracts and Billing is responsible for finance related activities such as customer and vendor contract administration customer and vendor pricing, rebates, billing (including drop-ships), processing chargebacks and vendor invoices and developing and negotiating customer and group purchasing contracts.
Demonstrates knowledge of financial processes, systems, controls, and work streams.Demonstrates experience working collaboratively in a finance environment coupled with strong internal controls.Possesses understanding of service level goals and objectives when providing customer support.Demonstrates ability to respond to non-standard requests from vendors and customers.Possesses strong organizational skills and prioritizes getting the right things done.Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the AR department, including billing, collections, and cash application. This is a key role in supporting our financial health and driving efficient cash flow operationsLead a team of AR specialists, ensuring timely and accurate processing of receivables while maintaining strong relationships with internal teams and external customersPossess a strong background in accounting, excellent leadership skills, and a proactive approach to improving processes and reducing outstanding balances.Strong knowledge of accounts receivable, billing, collections, and cash applicationExperience supervising or leading an AR or RCM teamAttention to detail and accuracy with financial dataAbility to analyze AR reports and improve collection processesExcellent communication skills for working with customers and internal teamsStrong customer service and problem-solving abilitiesGood time management and ability to meet deadlinesWorking knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP)Qualifications
6+ years of experience, preferredHigh School Diploma, GED or technical certification in related field or equivalent experience, preferredProficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, formulas), preferredWhat is expected of you and others at this level
