Join our dynamic team as a Supervisor, Accounting where you'll oversee financial precision and streamline our accounting processes in Lisbon. Lead teams to excellence and make impactful decisions that drive our business forward.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting:
Revenue and Expense Accruals: Oversee the accurate and timely processing of all revenue and expense accruals, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
Balance Sheet Reviews: Conduct comprehensive and regular balance sheet reviews to identify discrepancies, assess risks, and resolve any potential issues promptly.
Deferral Controls: Implement and maintain robust controls over deferrals, ensuring proper recognition and adherence to amortization schedules.
OPEX Management: Strategically manage and control Operating Expenses (OPEX) across various cost centers, providing insightful analysis and recommendations for financial optimization.
Asset Management: Maintain meticulous control over company assets, including fixed and intangible assets, ensuring accurate capitalization, depreciation, and reconciliation processes.
Accounts Payable Management:
Invoice Processing: Assume full responsibility for the AP function, ensuring all vendor invoices and payments are processed accurately and on time.
Team Leadership: Lead and guide the AP team, clearly defining responsibilities and ensuring adherence to established procedures and deadlines.
Workflow Optimization: Implement and maintain efficient AP workflows and internal controls to optimize payment processes and prevent errors.
Team Leadership:
Leadership & Direction: Provide strong leadership and direction to the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Performance Monitoring: Clearly define team member responsibilities, set performance expectations, and monitor individual and team performance against established goals and deadlines.
Candidate Profile:
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Ability to work in a hybrid setting.
Fluent in English.
