The opportunity:

 

To support the Immigration team and represent EY at government authorities in Egypt. This role focuses on managing immigration, labor and government related documentation and processes, liaising with relevant ministries (e.g. Financial Regulatory Authority, Syndicate of Commercial Professions/Commercial Professionals Union, Central Bank, Register of Accountants and Auditors, Ministry of Finance, Investment Authority, Association of Accountants and Auditors, Tax Association, Ministry of Labor), and ensuring compliance with local regulations. The role also includes support with onboarding, visa processes, and labor compliance.

 

The position requires a reliable Supervising Associate with practical knowledge of Egyptian Labor and immigration procedures, the ability to coordinate with multiple government entities, and the flexibility to support a dynamic regional team.

 

Your key responsibilities:

 

Support the renewal of Auditor Registration, Partners Auditors Certificate, and Trade Licenses as required, this requires knowlege of procedures and regulations and experience with the following entities: Financial Regulatory Authority Syndicate of Commercial Professions / Commercial Professionals Union Central Bank Register of Accountants and Auditors Ministry of Finance Investment Authority Association of Accountants and Auditors Tax Association Facilitate the registration of employees with the Accountants and Auditors Registry, Syndicate of Commercials, and Tax and Accountants Society as necessary. Manage documentation and submissions related to  visas/work permit applications, visa stamping, and attestation of personal and educational certificates. Handle all immigration and government relations cases, providing regular status updates and proposing alternative solutions to resolve issues. Keep the team informed of any changes in government regulations or procedures. Assist with inbound/outbound visa queries related to business travel, submitting applications to consulates/embassies as needed. Ensure compliance with regulations in coordination with the business and cluster lead. Keep the Immigration team updated on challenges and changes in immigration and labor processes. Collaborate closely with the pre-joining and recruitment teams to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new hires. Coordinate with the finance team to ensure accurate payroll calculations in accordance with social insurance regulations. Escalate high-risk situations to the Cluster Lead, providing necessary information for informed decision-making. Build and maintain strong relationships with relevant government authorities to deliver high-quality client service.

Should be a Team player with an ability to build strong client relationships Good networking and sound relationships built with the Immigration and Ministry of Labor and National Organization for Social Insurance. Able to provide comprehensive and practical solutions to complicated cases Ability to work under pressure Handling all documents and transactions for immigration and Ministry of Labour

 

To qualify for the role you must have:

 

Bachelor’s degree in law, Business Administration, Human Resource Management or related field. 5-8 years of experience in government relations working closely with the government offices. Excellent knowledge of all immigration and labor processes to provide effective and alternate solutions to issues faced. Excellent in written and spoken Arabic as well as fluent English language skills (written and verbal) Advanced user of Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel with strong attention to detail
