This occupation requires the assembly of solar devices and batteries where planning and sequencing of operations has been determined and supported by clearly defined operation sheets and instructions.
Set-up, adjust and operate automatic solar cell soldering or brazing machines, prepare and attach cell assemblies to rigid or flexible substrates per blueprint and manufacturing process specifications. Prepare and similarly attach various solar cell cover filters on solar modules. Solder electrical components or place in ovens or under lights for specified times in heat cycle. Perform in process heat soak and electrical continuity checks.
Perform rework wherein the operations are essentially the same as those required for
work described herein.
Basic Qualifications:
Ability to use the tools, materials, equipment required to perform the work described. To use basic arithmetic and instructional material.
Certification for all processes used in the Solar Array Facility may be required.
Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
Desired Skills:
Basic use of assembly tools such as soldering irons, crimpers, or strippers.
Exposure or some experience with electronics assembly.
Exposure or some experience with cable or harness assembly.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
Clearance Level: TS/SCI

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
The base range for this position in California is $18.09 - $34.64.
