Then join our Digital & Automation (D&A) Summer Challenge to gather hands-on experience with the latest technology and present your solution to our team!

The "D&A Summer Challenge" takes place on 8th October 2025, from 09:00 - 17:30 in Erlangen!

Your tasks and responsibilities:

You will develop a RAG solution in a small team. There, you will handle various input data formats and develop code to parse them in a way that is meaningful to your overall RAG system
No worries! A skeleton of the overall system will be provided; you can directly start discussing your ideas, implementing, and experimentingTo prepare you for the challenge, we will invite you to our office facilities at Forchheim for one day before the hackathon. The participation in this pre-hackathon day is highly recommended. There, you will get some hands-on training on RAG to get familiar with the technology. You will also take part in a short training session focused on the soft skills needed for the hackathonThat’s not all: During the hackathon, you will have plenty of chances to get in touch with Siemens Healthineers employees from the field of software development. You will be able to learn about Siemens Healthineers and expand your network at our after-show event. Maybe we can even convince you to join us as a working student (f/m/d)?

Your qualifications and experience:

You are currently studying Computer Science or in an IT-related field of study, e.g. applied computer science, software engineering, medical engineering, etc.You should at least be in the 2nd semester of your bachelor’sYou don’t have to be an expert in a specific tool or languageWe especially encourage bachelor students to apply for our challenge. Ideally, you already have experience in software projects like a bachelor’s course in advanced programming, software engineering, a hobby project, or something similar
