LEAD = Leadership, Expertise, and Accelerated Development

Over the course of this 10-week paid internship, you will learn from the industry’s best while working on substantial projects with real world implications.  These projects will often expose you to some of the most exciting emerging technologies and trends including cloud computing, machine learning, cyber security, technical project management, and agile software development (just to name a few).  Our summer internship also includes career development opportunities, team building challenges, exposure to real-world technology applications, and executive mentorship. Upon completion of your internship, you may be extended an opportunity to join the full-time LEAD IT rotational program!

Internship Structure:

Internship assignments are 10 weeks long and take place in person at one of our core locations (Pittsburgh, PA or Chicago, IL).Internship assignments and their respective locations are determined based on business need and interviewer’s assessment. Applicant preference is also taken into consideration.The internship provides significant exposure to Enterprise IT and technology leaders at Wabtec. 

Minimum Requirements:

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree program at an accredited university or credentialed software accelerator programDegree focused in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, IT Security, Informatics, Information Science/Technology, Management Information Systems, Software Engineering, Security and Risk Analysis, or other relevant STEM majors with Software/IT experienceMinimum cumulative or in-major 3.0/4.0 GPAMust commit to working full time (40 hrs/wk) during the internshipMust be a rising junior or senior

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
