Kimley-Horn is looking for a motivated Electrical Engineer with substation design experience to join our Power Delivery team in Denver, Colorado (CO). This is a great opportunity for a mid-level engineer to grow into a senior technical and project management role while working on challenging and impactful power delivery projects.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an engineer with approximately 8 years of experience in high-voltage substation design who is ready to assume additional project management responsibilities. This role will involve coordinating multidisciplinary teams, working closely with clients, and supporting both technical and delivery aspects of substation projects.
Salary Range:
$110,000 - $190,000Eligible for performance-based bonuses#LI-BD1
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (EIT required; PE preferred or in progress) Approximately 8 years of experience in substation engineering (physical, P&C, or both) Familiarity with relevant industry standards (NESC, IEEE, ANSI, etc.) Strong organizational, coordination, and communication skills Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Experience working with utilities, EPCs, or consulting engineering firms preferred Why Kimley-Horn?
