Job Description
•\tPrioritizes and enforces safety protocols on the job site, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry standards
•\tBroad understanding of company policies and procedures
•\tCoordinates with engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure projects are completed effectively
•\tPerform inspections, maintain QA/QC documents, and audits construction quality, ensuring adherence to standards and specifications
•\tMaintains open communication with team members, clients, and other stakeholders throughout the project
•\tKeeps detailed records of construction activities, progress reports, and safety inspections
•\tExperience in leading and managing construction, including monitoring tasks, providing feedback, and resolving conflicts
•\tVast knowledge of electrical schematics, mechanical, civil, and steel structural drawings
•\tThorough understanding of safety regulations and practices, including the ability to identify and mitigate hazards
•\tAbility to identify and resolve issues that may arise during construction, ensuring the project stays on track
•\tFamiliar with concrete work, flat foundations, drill piers, breaker pads, GSU containment pits
•\tWork with EPC to resolve requests for information (RFI) and change orders
•\tPerform material procurement and material take offs
Preferred Work Experience
•\tAn SME in substation or utility scale energy storage design and/or project management, with established expertise in one or more of the following areas:
o\tPower electronics
o\tBattery storage system design
o\tSubstation design
o\tGeneration tie design
•\tDesign and/or operation of large-scale power generation or processing plants involving adherence to regulatory requirements while maximizing the performance and reliability of technically complex systems
•\tHands-on experience and knowledge of construction methods, including foundations, trenching, electrical terminations and testing, and best safety practices
•\tStrong knowledge of technologies in energy storage including varying battery chemistries, power conversion units and DC-DC converters
•\tLithium-ion battery storage safety: Familiarity with UL1973, UL9540, UL9540A, NFPA 855, NFPA 70E, NEC, applicable IFC/IBC sections
•\tFamiliarity with interconnection studies and GIA material modification adjustment (MMA) processes, particularly in WECC and CAISO
•\tConstruction permitting and contracting experience
•\tShows maturity of technical expertise and assumes responsibility for highly specialized technical objectives
•\tStrong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of effectively conveying technical and non-technical concepts to diverse audiences
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $60.00/hr.
