Job Description

The Sub-Contract Specialist plays a key role in ensuring the efficient flow of materials and services across the supply chain. This position supports Subcontract Managers and Project Managers in their interactions with suppliers, ensuring alignment with project timelines, cost objectives, and quality standards. The Sub-Contract Specialist facilitates communication, tracks progress, and contributes to the overall success of the supply chain operations.

Responsibilities:Assist Subcontract Manager and Project Managers in managing supplier relationships, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services.Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders and suppliers to resolve issues and align expectations.Coordinate procurement activities, including purchase order creation, tracking, and follow-ups.Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with company procurement policies.Provide logistical and administrative support to Project Managers to ensure smooth supplier integration into project schedules.Monitor supplier performance and escalate issues as needed.Maintain accurate records of supplier interactions, contracts, and delivery timelines.Track key performance indicators (KPIs) for suppliers and generate regular reports for internal review.Identify opportunities to enhance supply chain efficiency and reduce costs.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements.Monitor and mitigate risks associated with supplier performance, delivery delays, and quality issues.Support contingency planning efforts to minimize project disruptions.Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager of Purchasing and Supply Chain.Requirements:Supplier supportProcurement coordinationProject managementExperience sourcing suppliersEligible for security clearances from the government of CanadaAssets:Post-secondary education in a relevant field (e.g., Technical Trade, Engineering, Business) or equivalent knowledge.Proven working experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment.Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques.Attention to detail and experience in collecting and analyzing data.Strong communication skills, detail-oriented, and able to work in a complex matrix organization.Ability to communicate information to various stakeholders in English; proficiency in French is an asset.Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite applications.Eligibility to meet the requirements of export control regulations, including the Canadian Controlled Goods Program and Canadian government security requirements.Work Environment:

The role is primarily remote, with occasional travel as required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
