Job DescriptionLeeding Builders Group, division of AECOM, is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Construction Pre-Qualification Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating and pre-qualifying contractors and subcontractors for construction projects, ensuring compliance with company standards and industry regulations.
Manage and maintain the contractor pre-qualification database, ensuring all information is up-to-date and accurateAnalyze contractor submissions, including financial statements, safety records, and performance historyConduct thorough risk assessments of potential contractors and subcontractorsCollaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to determine specific pre-qualification requirements for each projectDevelop and implement pre-qualification criteria and processes to improve efficiency and effectivenessPrepare detailed reports on contractor qualifications and recommendations for project teamsStay current with industry standards, regulations, and best practices in contractor pre-qualificationAssist in the development and maintenance of pre-qualification policies and proceduresProvide support and guidance to contractors throughout the pre-qualification processCoordinate with legal and insurance departments to ensure compliance with contractual requirementsAbout Construction Management—Leeding Builders Group (LBG)

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
BA/BS Finance or related curriculum or AA/AS + 2 years of relevant experience in construction finance/risk or HSD/GED + 4 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
3-5 years of experience in construction pre-qualification or related field.Proficiency in pre-qualification software and databases (TradeTapp).Strong analytical and research skills with a keen attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.Experience with contractor evaluation and risk assessment.Knowledge of construction industry standards and regulations.Understanding of contractor qualification processes.Familiarity with construction project management.Strong time management and organizational skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.Additional InformationThis position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization now or in the future.Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test.This position is not hybrid nor remote.About AECOM
