In the Sub System Technical Lead role, the candidate will be responsible for leading those engineers assigned to his/her team to meet program deliverables. These responsibilities include but are not limited to: establishing and managing product development plans, managing the day to day activities of several engineers, establishing work plans, preparing responses to investigate bulletins, managing cost/weight/performance to meet targets. Product scope includes Brakes, Active Chassis and Steering.

Basic Requirements:

Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent  8 years of professional engineering experience Proficient in DFMEA, DVP&R, PDP, change process (ODM/CN/CCD) tools and processes Proficient in technical aspects of brake and/or wheel and tire engineering Demonstrated excellent communication and leadership skills Ability to travel to supplier locations and FCA plants to support project

 

Preferred Requirements:

Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) Green Belt/Black Belt certification Strong GD&T skill set Formal training/experience in problem solving, quality and reliability Experience in manufacturing of brake components and vehicle assembly
