Position Title Student Worker - Biology Offices (Student) Student Status Work Study Optional –You are not required to be a Federal Work Study Recipient to hold this position. Work Location Springfield Campus Department Biology Hiring Range 13.75 Sponsorship Information Applicants must be currently authorized to work for ANY employer in the United States on a full-time basis. This position is not eligible for work visa sponsorship. Department/Employer Operating Hours 8 am - 5 pm Monday through Friday How many hours per week are required? 10-15 Description of Primary Duties This job entails doing a variety of office duties such as scanning, copying, and filing. This job also will include assisting with orders, running errands, and some cleaning (copy and mail room). Assist department secretaries as needed, answer phones, and assist faculty, staff, students and visitors when secretary is out of the office. Identify monthly transactions on budget reports. Create and use Microsoft Word documents and Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. Assist secretary with hiring documents or other campus forms/procedures. Assist with department marketing activities using social media and on-line software. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Proficient in using MS Word and Excel. Must have good written and verbal communication skills. Must be organized and detail-oriented. Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions. Must be able to work with minimal supervision. Required Certifications Additional Qualifications You do NOT need to be eligible for work study. Must be proficient in using Microsoft Excel and Word. This job will be for the Fall 2025 semester only. Continued employment will be considered (but not guaranteed) at the end of the fall semester.
