The student in this role will be working on the Delivery as well as the Deployment, Support and Operationalization of Celestica Technologies and Infrastructure related to Workstations, Remote or Virtual Desktops, Servers, Mobile Devices, Servers, Network as well as the opportunity to be part of Celestica’s Expansion of Infrastructure into the Cloud.
We are looking for team players who possess good communication skills (written and verbal), are able to learn quickly, are self motivated and take initiative. Technical knowledge and prior development experience would be a desired asset but not necessarily a requirement.
Preferred Skills Strong knowledge on Microsoft Windows Platforms Basic knowledge of Software Patching and Software Upgrading Concepts PC, OS, Software and Networking Troubleshooting Knowledge of Web Technologies, HTTP/HTTPS, XML, JSON, etc would be an asset Some degree of scripting experience including any of the following: Java, Javascript, Microsoft PowerShell, etc, would be an asset Experience using any major Cloud services such as Microsoft Azure or Google GCP would be an asset Basic knowledge of Networking Technologies and concepts Strong analytical and problem solving skills Good work ethic and desire to make a difference and solve problems Activities Involvement in the design/development/deployment/support of new and existing infrastructure and Platforms (that relate to the management of both on premise and cloud platforms. Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts and Assist in the refactoring of deployment and management processes for Servers, Workstations and Mobile Devices. Writing specification and support documents. Perform routine management/support/patching/reporting tasks as they relate to systems (both out of the box and custom development) under our control. Working with other team(s) in system troubleshooting of problems and support issues. Support for Chrome, Internet Explorer and other browser based technologies.
Physical Demands
Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment. Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.Additional Details
