Requisition 202500301ST Title Student Employee- Dept of Physics- Astronomy TA Employee Class Student Employee College Work Study Position No Department Dept of Physics Division Division of Academic Affairs Hours per week 5 Hiring Rate 10 Preferred Student Classification Nature & Purpose of Position This position’s duties may include:Teaching Assistant (Lab TA) Presenting an introduction to the physics concepts and laboratory techniques at the beginning of each lab session Monitoring student progress and providing assistance and encouragement as needed Keeping accurate records of student attendance Collecting pre-lab assignments at the start of lab and post-lab reports at the end of the session Responding promptly and effectively to student emails Grading all assignments Submitting grades to instructors in a timely manner

Other Requirements for the Position This position is for students who have completed PHYS 1403 and PHYS 1404 with a grade of B or higher and have been referred by faculty for consideration.
