**POSITION DETAILS**

The Office of Student Development is responsible for leading Macaulay’s annual student orientation and providing ongoing support to the Macaulay Scholars Council—our student government—as well as to student clubs, organizations, and community service initiatives. The office also oversees a range of special programs, including Restorative Practices and Constructive Dialogues, and plays an active role on the Student Support Team. Reporting to the Director of Student Development, the Student Development Coordinator is a key member of the Student Development team and will have the following responsibilities in addition to those listed in the CUNY Title Overview below.
- Provides administrative and logistical support for student activities and events, including ordering refreshments, supplies, and materials, and ensuring that they are delivered appropriately;
- Supports student clubs and organizations in budgeting, planning, and execution of events and programs;
- Processes and maintains records of all financial transactions for student activities including collecting and processing receipts, invoices, reimbursements; and credit card reconciliations. Maintains accurate records of expenses;
- Coordinates travel arrangements for student participation in regional and national conferences and events;
- Assists in the overall management of undergraduate student co-curricular programming;
- Assists with the development, monitoring, and maintenance of student organization and event databases, including CampusGroups;
- Maintains information regarding current policies and procedures and acts as resource for student clubs and organizations;
- Prepares and distributes advertising and announcements of student activities in coordination with the Director, student leaders, and the college’s Marketing and Communications team;
- Coordinates community service opportunities for students and maintains records of student participation;
- Assists with the development of programming partnerships within CUNY and throughout the New York City metro area;
- Provide administrative assistance to the Director and Assistant Director of Student Development;
- Provides direct evening and weekend support during college wide events, including oversight of equipment, furniture and supplies at various locations;
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Until further notice, this is a hybrid position, eligible to work remotely and work in the office.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
Bachelor's degree required.
A preferred candidate should have:
- Experience in Student Affairs, especially student government and/or student activities
- Experience making purchases and paying bills in a business or institutional setting. Knowledge of related business processes.
- Attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to work evenings and weekends.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. Sponsorship will not be offered for this position.

Assists in preparing and providing student support services to promote the personal development of a diverse student population.
- Assists student organizations/clubs in planning, implementing events and programs, and managing expenditures
- Coordinates and helps present informational and educational programs, such as student leadership training and orientation
- Assists with the management of student affairs facilities, such as acquiring equipment and arranging event logistics
- May assume responsibility for one or more specific student programs
- Performs related duties as assigned.

**COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS**
$66,154-$72,236/year (salary as of 9/1/25). Salary commensurate with education and experience.
