Yes County Albany Street Address 40 N Pearl Street, Floor 4 City Albany State NY Zip Code 12207 Duties Description The New York State Integrated Eligibility System (IES) Program is seeking a skilled and collaborative .NET Developer intern to support the development of modernization of the New York State Integrated Eligibility System (IES). This individual will support the work on cross-functional teams to develop robust and scalable application that improve the delivery of critical health and human services program such as Medicaid, SNAP, Public Assistance and Child Support. The ideal candidate has experience or exposure coding. NET framework and can contribute to both front-end and back-end application development.The .NET Developer intern will work under the guidance of the .Net Developer and support and collaborate with architect, testers and business analyst to implements high-quality code that meets project requirements and adheres to state and federal compliance standards. The work will directly impact the functionality and user experience of a system used by millions of New Yorkers.Key Responsibilities:Software DevelopmentAssist in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of applications using both .NET (e.g., C#, ASP.NET) and Java technologies. This may involve working on various layers of applications, including front-end, back-end, and database interactions.CollaborationWork closely with senior developers, team leads, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, contribute to technical discussions, and integrate solutions within existing systems.Code Quality and Best PracticesParticipate in code reviews, adhere to established coding standards, and contribute to the improvement of development processes.Debugging and TroubleshootingIdentify, analyze, and resolve issues in existing software applications across both .NET and Java environments.DocumentationAssist in creating and maintaining technical documentation related to software design, development, and functionality.Learning and GrowthActively learn and apply new concepts, tools, and technologies within both the .NET and Java ecosystems. Minimum Qualifications • Must be a US citizen or foreign national eligible to work in the United States• Must be 18 years of age or older• Must be currently attending a New York State college, university or graduate program, or be a resident of New York State attending a college, university or graduate program outside of New York State• Must have completed a minimum of one (1) year as a student at a degree-granting two or four-year college or university (completion of one year’s worth of academic credits over a more extended period of time may qualify part-time students) OR currently enrolled graduate student or accepted in a graduate degree program• Must have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 or equivalent to a C.
