This position serves as a Student Assistant, providing administrative support and assisting in the delivery of employee assistance services to state employees and their family members. The role supports the prevention and resolution of work-related and personal challenges that may affect employee performance. Ideal candidates will have: + Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to respond with empathy to distressed individuals. + Attention to detail and the ability to apply knowledge to ensure accuracy and confidentiality. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills. + A strong interest in social work, counseling, or a related field, with prior experience in human services, mental health, or customer service roles preferred. Student Assistant appointments end the month in which the student graduates or is no longer enrolled in school. A Student Assistant position cannot exceed six years unless otherwise approved by Human Resources.
