Student Nurse Intern (Nursing Students within final year of RN school)

Med Surg 4B: Med Surg/Tele 

1 - 12 hour shift per week with an RN; 7a-7p or 7p-7a

Types of patients: renal, acute renal failure, chronic kidney disease, post kidney biopsy, etc., and post-op GI, Colorectal, Bariatrics and OBGYN Selling points: Strong Leadership and team collaboration

Job Summary:

Under the direct supervision of an RN, Student Intern performs and assists with patient care as part of the learning experience of becoming a nurse for a maximum of 12 hours per week. Currently enrolled in a nursing program, maintaining education requirements of the nursing program, and have an anticipated graduation date within one year.

Education:

Currently enrolled (and in good standing) in an accredited nursing program. Students are typically in their final year of nursing school and within 1 year of graduation, transcripts of classes must be provided. Successful completion of approved clinical nursing courses, i.e. Med/Surg 1 or equivalent and
Pharmacology. Transcripts of classes must be provided. CPR- within 7 days of hire
