Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking Structures Stress Analysis Engineer (Associate or Experienced) to support our Structures Engineering Software Solutions team based in Everett.
As a Structures Analysis Engineer, you possess a strong understanding of airplane structural analysis methods and tools for both metallic and/or composite structures. You will play a key role in developing, enhancing, and maintaining structural analysis software that supports airframe structural substantiation for design development and certification. Your expertise in software development, programming, and coding for structural analysis tools will help ensure the airplane structure has sufficient strength to endure all operational conditions. Additionally, you will ensure the structure meets critical design requirements such as fail-safety, durability, and damage tolerance where applicable.
Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate (Level 2) and Experienced (Level 3) Structures Stress Analysis Engineers.
Position Responsibilities:
Develops, integrates and documents structural requirements to establish the system design.
Coordinates with other engineering groups to establish the product's environment
Guides product design and verifies structural integrity by using analytical methods, finite element models/simulations and other analysis tools throughout the product lifecycle to develop the structural environment, characteristics and performance.
Develops test plans and configurations, supports test execution and analyzes/reports test results to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications
Defines and documents certification and test results to substantiate for customers and regulatory agencies that requirements are satisfied
Supports in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements
Develops, enhances, and maintains structural analysis tools that support airframe structural substantiation for design development and certification.
Works under general direction.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
Bachelor's degree in one of the following engineering disciplines: Mechanical, Aerospace, Aeronautical, Civil, or Structural Engineering.
2+ years related work experience in stress analysis.
Experience with Engineering classification such as Mechanical, Aerospace, Civil or Structural Engineering.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
ABET-accredited or equivalent engineering degree.
Experience in aerospace stress analysis.
Knowledge and experience on software development, programing, and coding for structural analysis tools.

Summary pay range for Associate (Level 2): $81,600 - $110,400
Summary pay range for Experienced (Level 3): $102,000.00 - $138,000
