Position: Structural Engineering / Building Inspection
About the Opportunity:
A well-established engineering and consulting firm is seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join their team as a Qualified Parking Structure Inspector (QPSI) or a New York State-licensed professional eligible to obtain QPSI certification. This role is critical in supporting compliance with New York State’s requirements for periodic parking structure inspections and ensuring the safety and longevity of these facilities.
Responsibilities:
Conduct structural inspections of parking garages in accordance with NYS requirements.Prepare detailed inspection reports, including assessments of structural integrity, safety concerns, and maintenance recommendations.Coordinate with project managers, clients, and municipal agencies to ensure timely and accurate reporting.Stay current with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory updates related to parking structure inspections.Assist in the preparation of proposals and project documentation as needed.Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural inspections, preferably with parking structures.Proficiency in structural analysis software and CAD tools, including STAAD, ARISA, and spreadsheets.Strong understanding of building codes and standards.Why Join Us?

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $100000.00/yr.
