Insight Global is seeking a skilled and motivated Structural Engineer to join our Facilities Engineering team at one of our largest utility clients in the NYC area. This team plays a critical role in maintaining and enhancing the infrastructure that supports safe, reliable, and efficient energy delivery. This role focuses on the design, analysis, and maintenance of structural systems for commercial buildings and facilities, including steel columns, beams, and equipment foundations. The engineer will support HVAC and electrical systems mounted on steel, ensure structural integrity of building exteriors, and provide structural support for distribution infrastructure such as Steam and Electrical systems.
Responsibilities include overseeing projects from concept to completion, conducting inspections, developing maintenance plans, and ensuring compliance with building codes and regulations. A strong understanding of soil-structure interaction, foundation systems, and integration of structural elements with building systems is essential, along with the ability to collaborate across disciplines and manage budgets and schedules effectively.
