Job Description This person will prepare and maintain design studies, drawings and engineering calculations under supervision. This person will communicate with other departments and provide them with technical assistance and information. This person will take an active role in problem resolution teams and interface with other Engineering groups, Production, Quality Assurance, Purchasing, Vendors, Regulatory Bodies, and other disciplines as required. Skills and Requirements - Bachelor's Degree in Naval Architecture, Naval Engineering, or Ocean Engineering    Could also be in Aerospace Engineering, Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering but with direct experience in structural ship design - 5 to 15 years of experience developing ship primary structures (scantlings) - 5 to 15 years of experience doing global and local finite element analyses (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) - Familiarity with ship classification society rulesets (ABS, DNV, Lloyds Register) null We are a company committed to creating diverse and inclusive environments where people can bring their full, authentic selves to work every day.
