SLB Capturi is one of the leading companies globally that has extensive knowledge of the entire CCUS value chain. We have many ongoing projects, from research and innovation, including pilot plant testing, to concept studies and to large EPC projects, both in Europe and in the United States. Today, we are delivering seven carbon capture units in Europe, with an accumulated capture capacity of 1 million tonnes of CO2. SLB Capturi US is seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will act as a technical expert for structural design issues and perform structural design calculations. Reporting to the Lead Civil and Structural Lead, you will be working closely with cross functional teams to ensure the successful integration and optimization of the structural designs. **Roles and Responsibilities:** + Maintain state-of-the-art knowledge in all pertinent aspects of the discipline including design, analysis techniques, products, applicable codes and construction practices related to assigned projects. + Advise and assist project and discipline engineers with the interpretation and clarification of applicable industry Codes and Client Specification requirements. + Supervise outsourcing of structural engineering design work. + Conduct technical training sessions covering Codes and industry Standards requirements + Assist in developing SLB Capturi (SLBC) standards for SLBC products. + Participate in professional community organizations and trade organizations within the discipline. + Participate in continuing education to maintain professional status as required by licensing authorities and to enhance professional skills + Continuously improve Structural designs of SLBC to cost and improve equipment reliability and life. + Create or check project design basis documents. The document is based on the applicable Codes, client specifications, SLBC scope of supply, and approved exception list. + Perform or check Structural calculations with all applicable design loads and design combinations. + Perform or check Structure for Lifting and other preservice conditions, as required + Perform or check structural member and connections for skids, platforms, walkways and other structural related members. + Provide necessary dimensional sketches and engineering instructions. + Check preliminary structural beam weights. + Review “as-built” drawings and re-run or check calculations, as required, to ensure conformity. **Qualifications and Experience** + Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or Structural Engineering + 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Structural analysis and design. + P.E. registration in the State of Texas is desired + In depth knowledge of national and international codes and standards for Structural design, shop fabrication procedures, and inspection. + Good knowledge of technical aspects of oil and gas products and processes. + Good knowledge of commercial engineering design programs such as STAAD and SACS. + Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. + A self-starter that demonstrates a positive outlook and contributes to working in multicultural and multidisciplinary and collaborative environment. + Candidates must be able to legally work and reside in the US, without sponsorship. .
