Stress Engineer
Job Title: Stress Engineer Location: Wichita, Kansas Job Type: On-Site We are seeking a highly motivated Stress Engineer to join our Structures Engineering team in Wichita, KS. In this role, you will be responsible for performing structural analysis and supporting the design and certification of aircraft components. You will work closely with design, manufacturing, and test teams to ensure structural integrity and compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities + Perform static, fatigue, and damage tolerance analyses using classical hand calculations and finite element methods. + Support design teams with structural input during the development and modification of aircraft components. + Prepare and review stress reports for internal and external customers. + Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, manufacturing, and quality. + Ensure compliance with FAA and customer requirements. + Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance to junior engineers. Required Qualifications + Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program. + 2+ years of experience in structural analysis or stress engineering. + Proficiency in finite element analysis tools (e.g., NASTRAN, PATRAN). + Strong understanding of aircraft structures, materials, and load paths. + Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications. + Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $80.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
