Our Fuels Energy business has an opening for a Strategy Pre-Contracts Manager to join our Melbourne-based team.This key role coordinates and manages the tender and proposal processes, oversees the phase from opportunity identification, pursuit, win planning, proposal submission to contract approval, and conducts continual market analysis to stay ahead of industry trends.
This position will play a pivotal role in leading the Pre–Contracts team and shaping work winning strategies to support the growth and development framework to realise the growth objectives.
About the role
Understand the company's Strategic plan and align it with emerging opportunities in the market.Formulate, implement, and manage business development strategies aligned with line of business and division strategic plan.Collaborate with the General Manager and senior project team to develop a Winning Strategy and oversee the execution plans and methodologies for the proposal submission.Manage the Bid Team and delegate tasks efficiently while ensuring timelines and standards are followed.Work closely with the Commercial Manager to review the tender's terms and conditions, identify potential risks, and devise strategies to mitigate them.Serve as the key liaison between the client and the company for any queries or discussions post submission.Lead negotiations with the client on commercial, contractual, or other tender proposal aspects.About you

Formal qualifications in engineering, business or project managementExperience in tendering, business development, procurement, estimating, risk or project controlsStrong knowledge the Fuels Energy sectors or similar industries.Demonstrated experience in leading a Bid teamExceptional influencing and communication skillsAcute awareness of market influences and how to strategically respond when tendering, which includes macro-economic, social and geopolitical risk
