Come drive growth in a fast paced, dynamic business. This role is part of the Marketplace Operations team which tackles some of Australia and New Zealand's most complex problems. These problems involve tough strategic decisions, analytical rigour and close collaboration across Uber. **About the Role**
You will drive large-scale commercial outcomes while developing a comprehensive understanding of Uber Eats’ 3-sided marketplace (Consumers, Delivery People and Merchants). You will be responsible for setting strategy and executing initiatives to expand coverage and improve reliability and delivery experience for some of the largest food retailers across Australia and New Zealand. Success in this role will involve driving change via operation levers, managing product rollouts and measuring and communicating impact with senior stakeholders.
In doing so you will help millions of Australians and New Zealanders add time back in their day with delicious food and critical conveniences and provide earnings opportunities to many hundreds of thousands more.
**Your Impact in Role**
- Drive strategy and execution of critical elements of our merchant coverage and reliability strategy
- Build out reliability and operational efficiency reporting across our portfolio of strategic restaurant accounts, to drive awareness of current performance and highlight key improvement opportunities.
- Build critical stakeholder relationships in local and global teams across a variety of the business lines including operations, product, sales, and finance to drive reliability outcomes for strategic accounts
- Perform analysis to inform recommendations on key strategic questions, and present to senior stakeholders
- Lead roll outs of global products, processes and programs in Australia and New Zealand
- Take complex problems and break them down into actionable solutions, backed by data and insights, to drive meaningful improvement across the business.
**The Experience You'll Bring**
- Quantitative degree and a background in pricing strategy or other analytical role (e.g. finance or strategy consulting)
- Analytics - experience dealing with complex data sets using excel/google sheets (SQL a plus), deriving insights, and synthesising data-backed recommendations
- Problem solving - the ability to break down ambiguous problems by applying structure and using data-driven insights to solve them
- Ownership and delivery - demonstrated ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, plan and prioritise workstreams across multiple projects and complete tasks with a high attention to detail
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
**Preferred Qualifications**
- Ideally, hold a bachelor or advanced degree in Business, Economics, Science, Engineering, Maths, or equivalent.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets and competence in SQL (or strong willingness to learn)
- Strong business acumen and ability to develop a deep understanding of complex business fundamentals & market dynamics
- Ability to go deep on technical domains and translate key insights to leadership in a compelling and easy to understand way
