Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it. **Job Summary:** **Caterpillar’s Integrated Components Division (ICD)** is seeking a **Senior Manager – Strategy** to join our dynamic and growing team. In this role, you will lead multiple consulting engagement modules to analyze, develop, and recommend Strategy & Planning (S&P) solutions that drive innovation and operational excellence. The **newly formed ICD** is a critical part of Caterpillar’s strategy to unlock new opportunities, accelerate innovation, and deliver greater value to our customers. ICD is responsible for the **design, development, and manufacturing** of a wide range of components, including: + Hydraulics + Ground Engaging Tools (GET) + Undercarriage + Precision Seals + Drivetrain Components + Cabs and Structures As we deliver for our customers, we do so as **one team** —creating and delivering world-class components and solutions that outperform the competition. **What You Will Do:** + Lead complex analyses and solution development for key S&P engagement modules at the divisional or business segment level. + Collaborate with internal clients to define business problems, identify issues, and shape strategic approaches. + Oversee data collection, research, and reporting activities; coach junior team members and guide client teams. + Develop and present strategic recommendations in partnership with senior consultants and managers. **Education requirement:** + Bachelor’s degree in **Engineering, Finance, Business, Strategy** , or a related field. **What skills you will have:** **Strategic Thinking:** + Develops long-term strategies aligned with Caterpillar’s goals in digital transformation, automation, and footprint optimization. + Applies strategic frameworks to support lean operations and quality improvement. + Builds business cases and forecasts to evaluate strategic investments. + Grounds planning in operational and product experience to ensure alignment between vision and execution. **Global Perspective:** + Integrates global trends and regional insights into resilient manufacturing and supply chain strategies. + Collaborates with international teams to tailor digital and automation initiatives to local markets. + Adapts strategies to meet diverse regulatory, cultural, and operational requirements. **Stakeholder Management:** + Aligns cross-functional leaders on strategic priorities such as lean transformation and digital innovation. + Builds strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support global initiatives. + Communicates complex strategies clearly to drive alignment and buy-in. **Planning: Tactical, Strategic:** + Leads the development and execution of long-term strategic plans aligned with enterprise goals. + Translates high-level strategies into actionable, measurable tactical plans. + Prioritizes initiatives based on business impact, resource availability, and risk. + Facilitates cross-functional planning sessions to ensure alignment. **Consulting Expertise:** + Acts as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on complex business challenges. + Manages international client relationships, particularly within the heavy machinery industry. + Conducts internal consulting engagements to identify performance gaps and drive improvements. + Uses data-driven analysis to support strategic decisions and change initiatives. **Effective Communications:** + Communicates complex strategies to diverse audiences, from executives to frontline teams. + Fluent in English; interest in expanding communication capabilities in Spanish and Chinese. + Develops compelling presentations and reports to support strategic recommendations. + Encourages open dialogue and feedback to ensure stakeholder engagement. **Visioning & Innovation:** + Shapes and articulates a compelling vision for the future of the business or function. + Inspires teams to align with long-term goals and embrace innovation. + Identifies emerging trends and technologies that could impact the business. + Translates vision into strategic priorities and guides teams through change. **Consulting Tools & Methodologies:** + Applies structured methodologies (e.g., SWOT, Porter’s Five Forces, Value Chain Analysis). + Uses tools like **Power BI, Tableau, and Excel** for data visualization and scenario modeling. + Implements project management frameworks (e.g., Agile, Lean Six Sigma). + Maintains a toolkit of best practices to ensure high-quality consulting engagements. **Additional Information:** This position requires the candidate **to work onsite five days a week at the Dallas, TX office.** Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position.
