Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The FBIN Strategy team is responsible for partnering with senior leadership to define and drive the corporation’s strategic direction. This includes leading high-impact initiatives related to corporate strategy, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), divestitures, and portfolio optimization. This role will collaborate closely with team members and key stakeholders across corporate functions and operating companies to identify, evaluate, and pursue global growth opportunities that enhance long term shareholder value. 

POSITION LOCATION:

This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule based in Deerfield, IL.

RESPONSIBLIITIES:

Provides guidance and expertise to FBIN leadership, BU leaders, and the M&A team to support a wide range of strategic initiatives, including corporate strategy, strategic planning, portfolio strategy, business restructuring, and post-merger integration.Independently lead and manage strategic analyses, including scoping, planning, and conducting research to generate actionable insights.Conduct market assessments for new product categories beyond the current portfolio, including competitive landscape analysis and evaluation of market entry strategies.Support the evaluation of acquisition opportunities through primary and secondary research, financial analysis, and assessment of strategic fit and value creation potential.Monitor industry trends, channel dynamics, and competitor strategies to identify emerging risks and opportunities.Independently lead and support special projects such as M&A scenario modeling, market forecasting, and capital budgeting.Synthesize findings and present recommendations clearly and effectively to senior leadership.

Qualifications

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

Strong strategic thinking and analytical problem-solving skills.Effective communicator with the ability to present complex ideas clearly and persuasively.Collaborative team player comfortable leading work across all levels of the organization.Self-starter with a high degree of initiative and ownership in a fast-paced environment.Strong organizational and project management skills.Ability to structure ambiguous problems and lead complex quantitative analyses.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or experience at a top-tier consulting firm strongly preferred.Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in management consulting, investment banking, private equity, corporate strategy, or finance.

Additional Information

Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $105,000 USD - $165,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
