American Rheinmetall Defense is looking for a Strategy & Development Analyst to work from our Vienna, Virginia office in order to facilitate U.S. market growth strategy by providing market insights while proactively supporting American Rheinmetall entities, global divisions and business units relative to U.S. Business activities. Starting Salary: $77,500

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Identify, evaluate and analyze market trends and potential opportunities in the military services and adjacent US government and commercial markets for the business development team to pursue.
• Monitor and track competitor activities and product developments in support of competitive intelligence activities in the US market.
• Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to assist in building business cases and prioritizing new opportunities for growth.
• Oversee M&A screening and evaluation activities for targets in the US providing critical analysis and recommendations.
• Develop and deliver recommendations to support strategic decisions
• Serve in a critical, “hands on” role as part of a dynamic team ensuring that viable, timely, and winning proposals are delivered.
• Organize and plan strategy workshops to synchronize business activities across key growth portfolios.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, International Affairs or related field
Experience
• One or more years of experience analyzing defense and aerospace market and budget trends and related military technology requirements and acquisition programs
• One or more years of experience managing corporate strategic and/or business development projects in support of senior business executives and decision makers.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (as demonstrated through experience, training and/or testing)
• Clear, effective, and organized written communication skills
• Knowledge of key financial and business performance indicators
• Ability to defend strategic assumptions and analysis through critical reviews and debate.
• Ability to build business cases for new concepts and ideas.
• Ability to work effectively in teams and across business organizations, while maintaining entrepreneurial spirit.
• Ability to prioritize and balance multiple, sometimes shifting, priorities.
• Ability to work efficiently and rapidly and to change direction to meet quick turn-around deliverables.
Background Prerequisites
Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks and controlled substance testing.
PREFFERED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience as an analyst in the defense community.
• Experience with the Congressional Appropriations process
• Experience with data visualization applications, such as PowerBI, Tableau, R, etc.
• Relevant advanced degree.
