Eaton’s Corporate Sector division is currently seeking a Strategy Associate. 

The expected annual salary range for this role is $123750.0 - $181500.0 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.

Eaton is seeking a Strategy Associate to help drive high-impact strategic initiatives that shape the future of our global operations. Based at our Corporate Headquarters in Beachwood, OH, this role offers a unique opportunity to work directly with senior leaders—including the Vice President and Senior Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development—on projects that influence key business decisions. You’ll collaborate across teams, perform deep financial and industry analysis, and contribute to executive-level presentations shared with Eaton’s Board of Directors and investor community. This role based out of our North American Headquarters in Beachwood, Ohio. We are offering relocation if required.  
What will you do?
In this role, you will support the development and execution of Eaton’s enterprise strategy by working closely with the Executive Leadership Team to align strategic direction with financial performance and shareholder value. You will contribute to enterprise-wide portfolio strategy and capital allocation by identifying growth opportunities, underperforming assets, and strategic adjacencies that inform resource prioritization. You will help manage the corporate strategic planning process, ensuring alignment across business units and functions while driving accountability for key initiatives. Your work will include conducting market and competitive intelligence to uncover macro trends, competitor actions, and emerging disruptions, using quantitative modeling and scenario analysis to guide long-term strategic insights. You will also prepare high-impact presentations and strategic communications for the C-suite and Board of Directors. Additionally, you will partner with business leaders to translate strategy into actionable plans with measurable outcomes, and collaborate with Corporate Development to assess M&A and divestiture opportunities, shape strategic rationale, and support due diligence and integration planning.

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate advanced strategic agility and strong business acumen, enabling you to navigate complex challenges and contribute to high-level decision-making. Your ability to perform sophisticated financial analyses and apply deep knowledge of valuation models and methodologies will be essential in driving data-informed strategies. Strong written and verbal communication skills will support your effectiveness in conveying insights and influencing stakeholders. A strategic mindset will allow you to anticipate trends and align your work with broader organizational goals. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is critical for developing compelling presentations and managing data with precision. Additionally, a willingness to travel up to 10% will support collaboration and engagement across teams and locations.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications
•    Possess a minimum of a Master’s Degree from an accredited university and a minimum of 2 years of work experience in corporate development, corporate strategic planning, consulting, finance and/or investment banking 
•    OR in lieu of a Masters Degree a bachelors degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience in corporate development, corporate strategic planning, consulting, finance and/or investment banking
•    Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
