Role Overview
We have an exciting new leadership opportunity within the Finance Data Office & Transformation supporting finance and business lines. This new leader will provide leadership and oversight for several Enterprise aligned insights and help build out new data products and support existing finance data products. This leader will lead to the development of intuitive, visually compelling reports that prioritize user experience and deliver actionable insights while balancing data integrity and accuracy. The individual will lead and mentor a team of data analysts, fostering a culture of design-thinking & data storytelling within the data organization.
This leader will need to collaborate closely with data engineering teams to ensure data models support ease and efficiency of reporting and allow for scalable reporting solutions. This individual will be responsible for creating and maintaining executive level dashboards leveraging Finance data to provide leadership with critical growth metrics and forward-looking business insights that drive strategic initiatives.
This individual will oversee the Client Growth Excellence (CGE) metrics and collaborate with cross commit and cross functional teams to align insights, data sources, data platforms, data quality metrics related to CGE. This includes key partnerships with CFO teams, Growth Office, Consumer & Business Banking, Payments and Wealth Corporate Commercial and Institutional Banking business lines.

Key Responsibilities
Data & Insights
Lead end-to-end insights across Finance and Business Lines, leveraging data insights to improve customer acquisition, retention, and profitability.Identify and implement KPIs, dashboards, and performance metrics to drive business decision-making and operational efficiencies.Utilize tools like SQL, Power BI etc. to create visually impactful dashboards.Understand business goals and objectives to align insights strategies and outputs with overall business objectives and expected outcomes.Analyze and synthesize data to produce insights, supporting business partners to inform business strategies and decision-making.Present data and insights in a visually appealing and easily understandable format.Identify, evaluate, and acquire relevant data sources and their locations, collaborate with data providers, ensure data quality and security, maintain infrastructure.Leadership & Collaboration
Build and lead a high-performing team of BI developers, fostering innovation and continuous learning.Partner with senior executives and cross-functional teams (Business Line, Finance, Enterprise Data Office, Technology) to align data initiatives with business objectives.Act as a thought leader, presenting insights to executive leadership and influencing key strategic decisions.Identify and address challenges, develop innovative solutions, and drive continuous improvement.Quickly adapt to changing market conditions, technologies, and stakeholder preferences.Administration & general management (e.g., driving transformation, efficiency goals, financial aspects including capital expenditures, billing, contracts, & leadership and talent planning).Qualifications & Experience
10+ years of experience in data engineering and analytics with a proven track record in banking, fintech, or financial services.Master’s degree preferred in Data Analytics, Business, Finance, Economics, or other relevant fields.Strong knowledge of finance data domains, business banking products, lending, payments, and financial services for small to mid-sized businesses.Proficiency in SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytics tools.Experience in cloud data platforms like Snowflake, AWS Redshift etc. is a plus.Strategic mindset with exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.Expert/advanced ability to align people and culture with changes in business strategy, structure, technology, and business processes.Expert/advanced ability to effectively plan, execute, and oversee the selection, evaluation, and ongoing management of vendors and agencies.If there’s anything we can do to accommodate a disability during any portion of the application or hiring process, please refer to our disability accommodations for applicants.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $149,515.00 - $175,900.00U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment.
