Simulation and Test Solutions (STS) - Fluids and Thermal 

Software Development Intern 

The Mechanical Analysis Division is seeking qualified candidates for our QA Testing/Software Developer intern position. Candidates will work within an Agile development team focused on developing an award-winning CFD thermal simulation solution. Candidates must be able to work as an effective team member, contribute to team decisions, and support peers closely in the software development process. 

As a intern working on alongside our Mechanical Analysis team, you'll have the opportunity to: 

Conduct QA testing on new softwareDevelop unit test(s)Develop new software in C# using WPF and interface design features related to the next generation product solution

Organization Qualifications: 

Pursing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering. Available to work 40 hours per week and be online no later than 8:30 AM.  One class may be taken in the afternoon or evening during each semester as long as work performance does not suffer. Classes cannot be taken in the morning hours. Candidates should have exposure to software development with experience designing, coding, and debugging. 

Additional desirable knowledge:  

Software development process in an Agile Scrum development environmentSoftware development using Visual Studio and C#Experience with using Git, Jira, and BitbucketOperating systems: WindowsKnowledge of Solidworks or other 3D Mechanical software

The hourly range for this position is $18.00 to $50.00. Siemens offers a variety of health and wellness benefits to employees. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location, as well as degree type and relevant education. In addition, this position is eligible for time off in accordance with Company policies, including paid sick leave and paid volunteer time off.


You’ll Benefit From The hourly pay range for this position is $18.00 to $50.00 per hour for first time Interns or $18.00 to $50.00 per hour for returning Interns. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
 Additionally, interns for Siemens are eligible to contribute into our 401K program.
