As a Strategic Sourcing Specialist, you’ll join Ping's growing Strategic Sourcing & Procurement team. This high-visibility position will report to the Senior Manager of Strategic Sourcing. The ideal candidate for this role is an excellent lead negotiator, is familiar with crafting contracts, and is comfortable working cross-functionally to support Ping’s business stakeholders on all levels of strategic projects, supplier engagements, renewal conversations, and more.
What You'll Do: Support the end-to-end Source2Pay (Procurement) process, including cross-functional collaboration with FP&A, Legal, Security, Tech, and business owners Build relationships with internal stakeholders across the business to understand business requirements, needs, and funding allotments Support the review and negotiation of vendor contracts through qualitative and quantitative analysis such as cost modeling, market research, and data collection Own the development and implementation of key sourcing strategies and buying channels within various categories at Ping Negotiate and drive best-in-class deals for Ping - this is a strategic role and will include many of Ping’s largest enterprise-level engagements Lead deep-dive financial analyses into unit-cost economics for our current vendor contracts to ensure contracts are optimized to match go-forward business needs Assist in the review, management, and renewal of corporate insurance contracts, ensuring alignment with organizational risk strategy and internal requirements What You Bring: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, finance, business, or other related field 2-4+ years of experience working in strategic sourcing & procurement (SS&P) on a large variety of goods and services categories A very high level of self-motivation, initiative, passion, excitement to work cross-functionally, and exceptional interpersonal skills are a MUST have for this role! Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to synthesize quantitative & qualitative information into clear recommendations on course of action Experience assisting in–or leading–the development and management of category plans, sourcing strategies, key contract terms, and best-in-class processes Desire to offer thought leadership and to think creatively at all levels of an organization, from individual contributors to executives Familiarity working with NetSuite, other ERPs, ZIP, other P2P orchestration tools, or COUPA, and an eagerness to learn and drive adoption of new technologies Experience supporting or managing corporate insurance contracts, including vendor-provided coverage terms, broker negotiations, or internal risk alignmentSalary Range: $77,500–$108,500
In accordance with Colorado’s Equal Pay for Equal Work Act (SB 19-085) the approximate compensation range for this role in Colorado is listed above. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors, such as knowledge, skills, and abilities.
