The Strategic Sourcing Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire supplier sourcing process, from identifying the University needs and selecting suppliers in coordination with University Stakeholders to developing the RFP end to end process, negotiating multi-million-dollar contracts inclusive of the best price, quality, and service and managing long-term supplier relationships. The goal is to maximize value and savings and minimize risk for the University. The Strategic Sourcing Manager will develop and implement supplier source strategy, including defining sourcing needs, conducting market research, identifying potential suppliers, implementing the RFP process and developing strategies to acquire goods and services. Analyze spend patterns, forecast cost savings opportunities, and implement cost reduction initiatives plan and annual cost savings targets. Assess and mitigate risk to ensure all suppliers maintain corporate responsibility, advocate for sustainable and ethical sourcing practices.
