Job Description

Provide execution and support at the local level of procurement activity.  Source materials and/or services in alignment with the strategic plan. Demonstrate knowledge of price and cost analysis tools to drive cost savings on a medium scale.

 

Responsibilities:

Execute order placement and issuance of POs in accordance with policies/proceduresResponsible for timely blocked invoice resolution and avoidance; Participates in external benchmarking and implementation of best practicesParticipates in Sourcing process improvement initiatives and tools including project planning and implementationParticipates in the identification of stakeholder needs and delivers appropriate internal and external communication to meet the needs of OperationsCollaborates with internal partners to communicate and drive utilization of preferred suppliersFacilitates negotiations on medium scale projects to achieve department objectivesUnder general direction, uses data to conduct price & cost analysis to drive savingsUtilizes effective presentation skills to address stakeholders’ needs; communicates with Senior Management across the organizationParticipates in the development of robust training, policy, and procedure materialsAddresses contractual issues with direction, as neededWorks closely with internal partners on sourcing decisions to ensure supplier contribution and performance requirements are met

QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent requiredA Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to functional work preferredAt least 3 years of relevant work experienceAble to demonstrates ability to solve moderately complex problems by analyzing variables and applying appropriate solutionsMust be able to recognize anomalies and critical situations and respond appropriatelyMust be able to communicate and interact with a variety of internal/external customersAble to apply strong functional computer knowledge in utilizing Microsoft Windows, Google Suite or other technical tools in completing assignments.May require knowledge of or the ability to quickly learn specialized software to complete work assignments.Knowledgeable of the critical factors affecting sourcing and supplier management.Skilled in negotiating and understanding purchasing contract language.Intermediate skills in developing or applying effective and proactive supplier management techniques and toolsMust be able to proactively listen to others to understand issues and situations.Must be able to clearly articulate business needs to both internal and external customers.

Additional Information

RRD's current salary range for this role is $55,100 to $82,700 / year. The salary range may be adjusted based on the applicable geographic location of the hired employee, and the range may change in the future. At RRD, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions may vary based upon, but not limited to education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, shift and location. Depending on the role, in addition to base salary, the total compensation package may also include participation in a bonus, commission or incentive program.
