TE Connectivity's Strategic Sourcing Teams develop and implement multi-year strategies for assigned commodities, suppliers and parts/services to achieve established goals in supplier quality, delivery, price and service. They align strategy and execution with cross-functional partners such as engineering, manufacturing, product management and functional owners. They execute the competitive bid, negotiation, contracting processes and/or technical continuous improvement for assigned commodities or services; collaborate across Business Units and cross-regions for optimal TE leverage. Our teams demonstrate a high level of expertise in procurement competencies (business/supply chain acumen, negotiation, sourcing strategy development and execution, global savvy, and project and product lifecycle management) and ensure results are delivered compliant with TE policies and procedures.

 

Key Responsibilities:
•    Research and identify prospective suppliers and manufacturers
•    Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers
•    Analyze and compare supplier pricing to determine the best deals
•    Develop and execute sourcing and procurement strategies
•    Monitor and assess supplier performance
•    Manage relationships with key suppliers to maintain quality of goods, timely delivery and compliance to terms of contracts
•    Coordinate with other departments and stakeholders to forecast the future supply needs
•    Prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment
•    Resolve vendor or contractor grievances, and claims against suppliers
•    Implement and drive continuous improvement activities through implementation of change management process and best practices
 

What your background should look like: Minimum of 8 years of experience in the following areas: Procurement and/or Strategic Sourcing Supplier Management Supplier Performance Monitoring (strongly preferred) Manufacturing Industry Exposure Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel and familiarity with other relevant tools Experience with SAP PR2 or S/4 HANA (preferred) Solid knowledge of data analysis tools Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal Project management experience (preferred) Proven ability to design and implement globally impactful sourcing strategies Strong understanding of Contract Manufacturing Models (highly desirable) Contract evaluation and negotiation with suppliers Supplier development and performance evaluation Cost analysis of manufacturing with suppliers or contractors
