Job Description Faststream is partnering with a leading freight and maritime organisation to recruit a Strategic Sales Manager. This is a pivotal position for a commercially astute individual who thrives on building key client relationships and driving growth across complex freight markets.
As Strategic Sales Manager, you’ll be the essential link between the business and a portfolio of high-value customers. Your focus will be on developing long-term partnerships, uncovering new business opportunities, and delivering innovative, customer-focused solutions across a range of routes and services.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and stakeholders. Identify and drive growth opportunities across existing and new service lines. Execute strategic customer review meetings and align with business goals. Collaborate cross-functionally to support smooth service delivery and issue resolution. Manage and document customer interactions using CRM systems (Salesforce). Monitor competitor activity and market trends to shape commercial strategy. Ensure route pricing and yield optimisation based on customer segmentation and strategy. Represent the business at external customer meetings, trade events, and exhibitions. What We’re Looking For: Proven experience in freight, maritime, or logistics sales, preferably with key account management. Strong commercial acumen and the ability to develop strategic sales plans. Confident communicator and negotiator with excellent relationship-building skills. Highly organised, self-motivated, and data-driven. Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM tools is advantageous.
