The Business Services and Outsourcing team are essential to meeting our clients' evolving requirements. As well as delivering long-term, sustainable value to businesses by providing a range of solutions such as accounting, payroll and compliance services, they also play a key role in tying together many of our services across BDO both domestically and internationally. By building deep and meaningful relationships with a range of clients from ambitious entrepreneurial SMEs to large multi-national groups, our BS&O team don’t just advise on their specific business challenges, they open doors for other teams to provide our firm’s wider service offering. To succeed in this agile environment, you’ll need to demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and initiative. Overview
Join us in a role that’s anything but ordinary! As a key player in our team, you’ll be at the heart of driving business activities forward. You’ll take charge of commercial development, team liaison, onboarding, and project management, ensuring everything runs smoothly and efficiently. Working closely with our management team, you’ll make sure staffing for client work is spot on, using our Dayshape booking system to keep everything on track.
Your knack for managing projects from start to finish will shine as you bring them to life. You’ll be the vital link between management and SRS staff, ensuring our internal procedures are followed to the letter. Your role is all about connecting the dots and bringing a standardised process to our national service, making a real impact every day. Responsibilities
Using our resource planner, Dayshape, to book secondments.Working closely with the Management Team to find resource and utilise this within the service from other areas of the business.Working with the Management Team to closely monitor metrics such as utilisation, staff availability and other KPIs.Challenging requests that are not following the standardised process.Identify and introduce processes to maximise efficiencies across the team. Streamline the onboarding process for all secondments including after care was the project is established.Proactively review the current workload and identify areas of capacity within the teamRequirements
Experience working in a resource management role, ideally in the professional services industryIT literate with a high competence in MS Office (especially Excel, Word)Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to communicate with a number of key senior, partner stakeholdersExcellent interpersonal skills in order to build strong relationships with the teamAbility to work to deadlines, and to respond quicklyAccuracy and attention to detail essential Must be flexible and adaptable Strong team worker Strong problem-solving skills Ability to plan and organise work well, and ability to prioritise Enthusiastic / self-motivated / self-confidentYou’ll be able to be yourself; we’ll recognise and value you for who you are and celebrate and reward your contributions to the business.
