Overview:The Senior Strategic Relationship Manager I will be responsible for developing sales strategy to sell in and execute initiatives for Blackhawk’s Physical Retail Distribution Partners in Canada/US that will result in revenue and profitability growth as well as deeper relationships. The successful candidate should be a team player who can work closely with Business Development, Distribution Sales, Product Management, Marketing, Operations, IT and Legal.
The successful candidate will be a self starter who is a hands-on, results-oriented leader. Most importantly, this individual will have an unbridled enthusiasm for the challenges and rewards of building and growing new business.
Responsibilities: Work with physical distribution partners in developing and executing strategy, objectives and project plans to enable the partners to maximize growth and revenue opportunitiesPresent and close new programs into these accounts at Category levelWork cross-functionally within Blackhawk to cross-sell and launch new programsDevelop, present, close and execute revenue expansion opportunities on an ongoing basisDevelop and refine sales strategies to support the company’s evolving initiativesEnsure that the company is maintaining a highly responsive customer approach that delivers extraordinary service and quality Qualifications: Knowledge and Skills Required1-3 years strategic sales experience in payments, CPG or retail industryProven ability to sell-in complex initiatives using excellent solution and consultative sales skillsAbility to apply creative thinking to the sales processAbility to understand and manage details of programs and explain key elements to partners and internal teamsProven ability to think strategically, formulate action plans and sell them through to managementAbility to build trust with partners and close dealsAbility to learn and communicate complex and intangible product concepts that are still in developmentExcellent interpersonal skills, time management, and multi-tasking abilitiesAbility to prioritize and manage numerous projects on tight deadlines with limited direction.High degree of initiative and keen sense of urgencyExperience and qualifications
