Reporting to the Director, Global Distribution, Parts, Accessories and Apparel, the Strategic Project Manager will be dedicated to and accountable for the logistic transformation plan within the overall corporate strategy. The successful candidate will, through project management, provide leadership on internal and external partner work. This is an opportunity to actively work with cross-functional business leaders to break the mould and define the future. The Strategic Project Manager will develop a strategy, define KPIs, establish and deploy the program’s internal communications and ensure the project is delivered on time, on specs and on budget. The ideal candidate will have a results-oriented mindset combined with strong analytical, project management and communication skills.
YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:
Plan and lead cross-functional projects, including management of internal and external resources for flawless project execution.
Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and on budget.
Lead change management and communication strategies.
Contribute to governance presentations and status updates.
Ensure project management, and best practices and methodologies around innovation are being applied.
Support business case creation, working to seek approval and prioritization within the organization.
Foster an environment of innovative thinking within the team and the organization.
Align with BRP standards, build and maintain a comprehensive project plan.
Track progress, provide guidance on project initiatives, and give project stakeholders status reports on a regular basis, ensuring proper communication between project collaborators.
Define and monitor departmental KPIs (team velocity, budget management).
Identify any dependencies, risks, and issues, and track them.
Motivate, educate, and engage the business team.
Understand the program’s impact and oversee change management and communication strategies.
Close projects (report, post-mortem, etc.).
YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:
6 or more years of experience in logistics project management roles.
A proven track record of successfully implementing complex projects.
Solid knowledge of project management methodologies (project plan, timeline, and budget management).
Proficiency with project tracking.
Business-oriented – able to work with people from different sectors.
The ability to make decisions quickly in a constantly changing environment and a demonstrated capacity for innovation.
Strong organizational skills.
Bilingualism (English and French).
Extensive team integration and collaboration skills.
Good at solving problems and persuading others.
Excellent communication skills.
Leadership qualities, with a focus on building a positive work environment and motivating the project team.
Strong interpersonal skills.
