The Strategic Program Sustainment Director is one of the key positions within the Military Development Strategic Program Management Office. This position is responsible for managing the sustainment network including defining requirements for the MRO strategy, contract execution and customer requirements. The sustainment director will execute the vision and strategy for the IPMT.
The Sustainment Program Director should be a take-charge, pull-the-team-together leader who can recognize and diagnose big problems and develop creative solutions with a sense of urgency. As a key leader, this person should be analytical, strategic, and a customer-focused thinker who will set expectations within his/her team and drive accountability.
The Sustainment Director position offers the opportunity to positively impact the future of sustainment of military development programs and to directly impact Military Engines and P&W financials. This position will work with all major organizations within P&W and will work closely with various organizations within our military development network.
A successful candidate will have the ability to build trust and strong working relationships with customers, partners and internal organizations, especially Manufacturing, Engineering, Engine Center and Sustainment operations. Creating a shared vision, focus on results, customer focus, business judgment and developing talent are key competencies for this position.
**What You Will Do:**
+ Set up a sustainment organization for Strategic programs
+ Define the network and employees required to support the enterprise
+ Propose and negotiate contract requirements to support the network
+ Set objectives for the program and manage performance
+ Align the program objectives with P&W Sustainment objectives
+ Translate sustainment requirements into program objectives as we as define what is required to execute the contract.
+ Ensure sustainment program critical issues are identified, communicated, elevated, and acted on in a timely fashion through the appropriate IPMT processes and channels.
+ Collaborate with internal functional organizations (Engineering, Contracts, Legal, Finance, Integrated Customer Solutions, Global Trade, Customer Support Engineering, and Operations including the Module Center Manufacturing, Global Supply Chain and Quality), as well as external customers, to ensure sustainment support for related contract requirements.
+ Interface with customers to determine future needs and focus internal support necessary to achieve customer satisfaction.
+ Utilize Customer Oriented Results and Excellence (CORE) principles and a continuous improvement mindset to improve the efficiency of internal and external processes.
**Qualifications You Must Have:**
+ Bachelor’s degree with 14+ years of gas turbine engine experience; or an advanced degree with 12+ years of similar experience.
+ Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
**Qualifications We Prefer:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related degree is preferred. MBA would be a benefit.
+ Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate at all levels within P&W and customer organizations.
+ Must have demonstrated ability to work independently.
+ Must be a self-starter who embodies program management principles and demonstrates solid initiative taking.

The salary range for this role is 176,000 USD - 352,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
