Job Description
This role involves leading the rollout of a mission-critical initiative, specifically the implementation of a Product Taxonomy across the enterprise. The program aims to deliver a unified product classification framework to enhance internal alignment, governance, and decision-making within a global product ecosystem. The position requires a strategic thinker with experience in strategy consulting, program management, and product-centric organizations, particularly within large technology or payments companies.
ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the enterprise-wide rollout of the Product Taxonomy, coordinating with global business units, regions, and functions.Serve as a strategic advisor to senior executives and stakeholders regarding taxonomy implementation, change impact, and product alignment.Develop and drive program governance, structure, timelines, and performance metrics to ensure successful delivery.Collaborate with Product Management, Technology, Strategy, and Go-to-Market teams to ensure alignment with product architecture and business priorities.Design and execute change management strategies to support taxonomy adoption and long-term integration across the organization.Build and manage detailed communications plans, including executive presentations, stakeholder updates, and enablement materials.Facilitate cross-functional working sessions, steering committees, and decision-making forums.Identify, track, and mitigate risks and interdependencies to maintain program alignment with strategic goals.Essential SkillsBachelor's degreeProficiency in MS Office Suite, MS Excel, and MS ProjectExperience in consulting, stakeholder management, product lifecycle, and portfolio governance7+ years of relevant experience, including time spent at a top-tier strategy consulting firm or in a corporate strategy/enterprise PMO within a large technology or payments companyAbility to lead large-scale, complex programs with cross-functional impact and executive visibilityFamiliarity with product management practices, including product lifecycle, portfolio governance, and classification systemsExperience in stakeholder engagement, strategic communication, and influencing at all organizational levelsStrong analytical, problem-solving, and structured thinking skillsExperience in driving change management and cultural adoption in a corporate environmentAdditional Skills & QualificationsPreferred experience in product strategy, product operations, or implementing product frameworks such as taxonomy, architecture, or standardizationMBA or advanced degree in business, strategy, or a related fieldProficiency with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or project management platforms like Smartsheet and AsanaPMP, SAFe, or other program management certifications are a plusWork Environment
Enjoy a collaborative team environment with office presence required on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday at the Austin office. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
