**A Day in the Life**
**Position Title:** Strategic Program Manager
**Reports To:** Senior Manager of Enterprise Accounts & Strategy (EA&S) Japan
**Position Description:**
This position has been created to work within EA&S (Enterprise Accounts and Strategy) to drive
3 key initiatives,
+ pan-Medtronic strategic programs as the vehicle to optimize and maximize Medtronic capabilities horizontally as one company.
+ EA businesses as the vehicle to establish strategic partnerships with selected corporate / strategic accounts for continuous Medtronic business retention and growth.
+ Solution and service developments as the enabler to enhance strategic partnerships and accelerate Medtronic revenue at selected corporate / strategic accounts.
This position supports senior manager within EA&S to drive pan-Medtronic strategic programs and EA projects from commercial perspective in close collaboration with Japan Leadership Team (JLT), Operating Units (OUs), functions or principal commercial analyst within EA&S.

Ultimately this role plays the key role in leading OUs and functions both from pan-Medtronic strategic programs and EA businesses and in maximizing pan-Medtronic business potential.
**Position Responsibilities:**
Supporting senior manager to execute pan-Medtronic and EA commercial strategies by…
1. Defining Medtronic values which resolves customers’ pain points and enables customers’ successes.
2. Defining Medtronic benefits which motivate OUs and functions to work on pan-Medtronic strategic program and EA businesses.
3. Enabling Medtronic business transformation by leading internal stakeholders’ changes with OU/function leaders and senior manager within EA&S.
4.Establishing customer C-level relationship to elevate Medtronic relationship from product vendor to strategic partner.
5. Developing strategic partnerships with EAs, which enables long-term mutual business benefits both for EAs and Medtronic.
6. Developing business plans for each EA to grow / protect Medtronic businesses and materialize strategic partnerships.
7. Architecting partnership programs for each EA and managing all the internal and external stakeholders and processes in offer phase toward contract signature with EA.
8. Managing all the internal and external stakeholders and resources throughout the partnerships. (EA’s sign-off)
9. Developing Beyond Product Solutions as the enabler to address customers’ pain points, enhance strategic customer partnerships and accelerate Medtronic revenues.
10. Implementing Beyond Product Solutions in targeted EAs as the real-world case to optimize customers’ daily operations as the strategic partner.
11. Summarizing the effectiveness of Beyond Product Solutions as the proof points to improve customers’ financial outcomes as the strategic partner and replicate the successes in other EAs.
12. Developing EA business review model for both internal and external customers with templates facilitating discussions to drive EA businesses.
13. Developing EA business reporting model for JLT/GR LT to have better transparency in EA businesses.
14. Developing efficient and sustainable EA offer and service delivery operations in collaboration with OUs and functions.
15. Summarizing best practices as local proof points with principal commercial analyst to replicate EA successes for Other EAs.
16. Leading workstreams across various functions and OUs to respond urgent requests with an impact on EA businesses and sales performances.
17. Implementing continual process improvement and standardization and supporting ad-hoc reporting requests flexibly.
**Experience and Knowledge:**
**Specialized Knowledge and Experience Required**
+ Deep insights on healthcare delivery system in Japan.
+ Deep insights on hospital management / operations in Japan.
+ Multiple touchpoints with hospital C-level.
+ Excellent stakeholder management skill in matrix organization.
+ Corporate / key account management experiences in healthcare.
+ Solution selling experiences in healthcare.
+ Advanced MS Office suite skills especially on Excel and PowerPoint.
+ Project planning and management experiences.
+ New solution development experiences
+ Consulting / service business experiences
+ Change management experiences.
+ LSS (Lean Six Sigma) / Process improvement experiences – Highly desirable.
