About the team & role

At Gen Digital, we protect the digital lives of hundreds of millions of users worldwide through globally recognized freemium brands — Avast, AVG, Avira, and CCleaner.

We are expanding our Freemium Customer Success Management team and looking for a Strategic Program Manager to join as a right hand to the Freemium leadership team. This high-impact role is ideal for a strategic thinker and structured operator who can synthesize insights, navigate complexity, and drive execution across a matrixed organization.
You’ll lead strategic planning cycles, track and explain performance against critical business goals, and coordinate key initiatives across Marketing, Product, Finance, and Data. This is not a back-office role — you’ll be at the center of translating vision into focus and action.

 

Objectives:

Orchestrate Strategic Initiatives (Lead high-priority cross-functional programs across lifecycle stages (acquisition, conversion, retention) and brands & ensure alignment across teams on scope, timelines, and impact metrics

Own Planning and Performance Cadence (Drive quarterly planning cycles, OKR tracking, and resource prioritization), build and maintain visibility into plan vs. actual performance (e.g., bookings, customer base, retention) & collaborate closely with Finance and Data to operationalize forecasts and dashboards

Craft Leadership Narratives (Prepare executive-ready materials for leadership syncs, QBRs, and cross-functional updates) & distill complexity into sharp, data-backed recommendations

Accelerate Decision-Making (Identify blockers and risks early, and facilitate timely resolution) & own the prep, structure, and follow-through for strategic discussions

Act as a Strategic Partner (Provide clarity, context, and leverage across the org), & connect the dots between top-down goals and team-level execution

Competencies:

Be the AI-Native Multiplier (You’ll be expected to bring a strong command of AI tools to increase velocity, quality, and focus across planning, synthesis, and communication.

Strategic Thinker, Strong Operator (5–8 years in strategy, consulting, product ops, business operations, or similar) & proven experience driving cross-functional initiatives and performance clarity

Analytical & Business Fluent (Strong command of financial models, forecasting, and business KPIs) & experience translating data into insights and driving operational impact)

Structured Communicator (Exceptional slide-writing and executive communication skills) & skilled at simplifying ambiguity into action

Cross-Functional Glue (Experience working across Product, Marketing, Finance, and Analytics) & thrives in fast-paced, matrixed environments

AI-Enabled (Demonstrated experience using GenAI tools to improve work output) & enthusiasm for teaching others how to do the same
