Strategic Planning & Risk Analyst III
CTG is seeking to fill a Strategic Planning & Risk Analyst III opening for our client in Richland, WA. Location: Richland, WA Duration: 12 months Description: The Strategic Planning & Risk Analyst III provides strategic planning and enterprise risk management support to the agency, working collaboratively across all business units to evaluate and integrate strategy and risk management into key processes and operations. This role is responsible for providing direction, guidance, monitoring, reporting, and execution of program activities in alignment with established standards and procedures. Additional responsibilities include the development and maintenance of a comprehensive risk register and risk assurance mapping. The position also involves making program-level decisions related to internal controls and risk, ensuring effective engagement and coordination across all organizational areas. Duties: Develop and maintain policies and procedures for the identification, assessment, and management of enterprise risks and internal controls. Establish, communicate, and facilitate the use of appropriate risk management methodologies, tools, and techniques across the organization. Collect, evaluate, and maintain data related to risk assessments, controls, and mitigation activities. Establish, maintain, and continuously improve risk management capabilities, develop risk registers, and compile data. Conduct risk assessments, audits, and control evaluations as scheduled or requested, and prepare and present comprehensive reports on findings. Perform follow-up activities to ensure timely and effective resolution of audit findings and risk mitigation actions. Design and deliver training sessions, workshops, and awareness programs to promote a strong risk culture. Coordinate and communicate with executive stakeholders on risk and audit matters. Maintain audit and risk documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory retention requirements. Provide oversight and guidance to matrixed team members, contractors, or temporary staff supporting risk or audit-related activities. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the risk management program and recommend enhancements as needed. Ensure continuous improvement of risk practices and alignment with industry standards, regulatory expectations, and best practices. Conduct special studies, projects, or initiatives as assigned, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality outcomes. Perform special assignments using knowledge gained through experience and education, including benchmarking studies. Must support the biennial refueling outage. Skills: Strong decision-making and communication skills with the ability to clearly explain purpose, impact, and rationale. Ability to proactively drive timely closure and continuous improvement. Skilled in identifying risks, designing/evaluating mitigation strategies, and recommending proper risk prioritization. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a changing environment. Strong presentation and communication skills with the ability to engage with executive leadership and diverse stakeholders. Ability to facilitate collaboration, build consensus, and maintain credibility at all organizational levels. Proficiency in preparing executive-level reports and presentations. Strong focus on safety, reliability, and fiscal responsibility, with a questioning attitude and sense of urgency. Experience: Requires a bachelor’s degree and 7 years of relevant experience in Business, Strategy, Risk, Audit, or a related field. OR an AA degree and 9 years of relevant experience. OR a high school diploma/GED and 11 years of relevant experience. Familiarity with risk tools and software (Safran desirable). Experience in energy and nuclear power generation business processes, including work management, operations, human resources, finance, accounting, project management, risk, audit, and/or strategic planning, is preferred. Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university (preferred). Equivalent experience accepted per requirements listed above. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
