Minimum qualifications: + Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. + 4 years of experience in business, partnerships, or similar roles in the news and publishing industry. + Experience managing relationships and negotiating agreements with executive stakeholders. + Experience working in the news industry, either at a publisher, media company, or partner company. Preferred qualifications: + Experience driving negotiations in technical or regulated industries. + Experience managing cross-functional partnerships internally. + Experience in sourcing, negotiating and closing partnerships with executive-level relationship management. + Knowledge of thought leadership in the news industry. + Understanding of the publisher and partner business models. Equipped with your business acumen and extensive product knowledge, you are right on the front line of interacting with our partners, and helping them find ways to grow using Google's newest product offerings. Your knowledge of relevant verticals and relationships with key industry players will help shape our great applications and content for products such as YouTube, Google TV and Commerce. The team's mission is to support a grow news ecosystem, driven by commitment to putting users first and providing them with reliable information. As the industry faces a major inflection point with Artificial Intelligence (AI), we help the news partners navigate this change responsibly. The team builds AI literacy across the industry through partnerships like JournalismAI and provides digital skills training and workshops to help publishers build their own strategies for success and empower journalists with tools like Notebook LM, Pinpoint and Google Trends to find original stories, and provide real-time insights to help the organization grow. We are creating the next generation of AI-assisted publishing tools designed to responsibly enhance journalism, not replace it, ensuring strong editorial oversight remains critical. The partnership with the news industry ensures that people have access to the quality information they need to navigate an increasingly intricate world.The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products. + Identify and prioritize partner goals and be an expert on each goal's organization, business model and priorities. Serve as a liaison with the partners regarding new product and feature launches and distribution opportunities. + Negotiate and manage product implementations in collaboration with product and marketing team and maintain effective relationships with publishers and relevant news ecosystem stakeholders and identify new opportunities to grow the audience and business through the platforms. + Conceptualize, gather resources and conduct regular outreach and training to large and small News publishers to represent Google and its products both one-on-one and at relevant industry events. + Represent News Partnerships and coordinate as needed with cross functional Google’s business organizations. + Drive execution of the agreed News Partnerships strategy leveraging existing resources.
