Minnesota Management and Budget (MMB) is seeking a Strategic Excellence Manager in the Office of Inclusion (OOI) to implement enterprise equity and inclusion efforts, prioritizing projects related to strategic priorities and the One Minnesota Plan. This position will work closely with agency leaders to advance equity and inclusion in state agencies, councils, and boards throughout the enterprise. OOI is highly focused on implementing strategies that influence an inclusive internal workforce culture and employee experience from recruitment through retention. Job duties for this position include: + Facilitating the One Minnesota Council meetings on behalf of OOI + Tracking and implementing projects to support enterprise equity and inclusion priorities + Leveraging and managing progress updates across the enterprise to align equity and inclusion work at the agency level with enterprise long-range plan goals + Consulting and advising staff across the enterprise on equity and inclusion goals and priorities + Providing administrative leadership and support to a council of enterprise executives + Supporting the design, coordination, and facilitation of office-managed meetings and special initiatives + Drafting the OOI annual report + Drafting and finalizing the long-range plan annual report, tracking progress toward goals, and preparing quarterly reports on agency equity change plan progress for OOI, the Governor’s Office, and MMB leadership This position is currently eligible for up to 50% hybrid telework to applicants who either reside in Minnesota **or** a bordering state and within fifty (50) miles of the work location. **Minimum Qualifications** + Four (4) years of experience* managing projects for complex organizational systems, change management, and/or continuous improvement + Experience designing, planning, and implementing organizational diversity and inclusion initiatives + Leadership skills sufficient to build and manage organizational projects and stakeholder relationships and influence decision makers + Ability to create and implement strategic goals and provide effective DEI solutions + Communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to provide clear, respectful, and timely answers to a variety of audiences; explain technical information in a simplified manner; and facilitate presentations and discussions + Organizational skills to manage several concurrent projects with multiple state agencies and multitask in a fast-paced environment + Demonstrated respect for diversity and a deep commitment to fostering an inclusive and collaborative work environment. *A bachelor’s degree in sociology, business management, project management, public administration, communications, or planning may substitute for one (1) year of experience; a master’s degree in a similar field may substitute for eighteen (18) months of experience. **Preferred Qualifications** MMB values diverse perspectives and encourages all qualified candidates to apply, even if they do not meet 100% of the preferred qualifications.
